Rehumanization is the word.

I had been working tech/digital jobs for decades. To what end? Last year, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

So I decided to Rehumanize. My definition? To separate, to travel, to turn it all upside down. I am trying to decelerate, to be bored, to be frustrated, to be joyful, to have fun.

My husband and I have dubbed this time in our lives the Rehumanization Tour. I even made a T-shirt. Then some friends said they liked it, so I made some more. Repurposing and upcycling are important to me — and the practices capture the spirit of Rehumanization — so these shirts are vintage or repurposed with iron-on letters.
